OUR MISSION
The National Youth Orchestra Foundation is dedicated to the establishment and support of youth string music programs, particularly in schools where such programs have never existed before. Our goal is to improve the cultural lives of our children, their families, and the communities in which they reside. We believe that participation in music programs is a valuable, and vital component, to the development of our country’s youth. There are so many students, especially those residing in rural and under served areas of America, who may never know the joy and pleasure of playing a stringed musical instrument and participating in a school orchestral program in the absence of our support.
The mission of The National Youth Orchestra Foundation is to provide these experiences to the youth of rural America by providing grants, awards, scholarships to teachers, and start up funding for new string music programs.
